Rectifier1

4,000A - 30,000A

By far the most popular means of cooling in North America today for rectifiers 4,000A to 30,000A. With tighter environmental controls, electroplating shops are cleaner and friendlier environments for forced-air rectifiers. Modern ventilation systems keep the air fresh clean and reasonably dry allowing the rectifiers to be mounted relatively close to the plating bath without any adverse effects. That being said NAR still takes immense caution in protecting the rectifier from poor environments. Transformers are varnished and baked, controls are sealed from environment and all components and insulation are chosen for their chemical resistance.

Features:
- Low current density transformers
- All copper windings
- Highest grade electrical coresteel
- Highest grade Nomex insulation
- Heatsinks are clear anodized aluminum
- Interphase to reduce rms. currents
- All panels removable for service
- Ripple less than 5% at full output
- Rated for continuous duty at full output
- Max. Temp. rise of 85C at 45C ambient
- Meets ripple requirements for aerospace plating processes
- CSA Approved
- 2 year warranty

Advantage over water-cooled:
- Much less maintenance required (water lines are not easy to clean and maintain)
- Can be cleaned with a shopvac and paintbrush
- Slightly more efficient than standard water cooled rectifiers
- Avoids concern over condensation issues
- Easier to repair and troubleshoot
- Virtually maintenance free
- Can be designed to accommodate existing busbar assemblies
