Rectifier downtime can bring a plating shop to a grinding halt. Therefore, access to spare parts is of upmost importance. A hypothetical situation, you run a bumper plating line. The 20,000A chrome rectifier goes down. Without spare parts, you may kiss that shift and maybe the next 3 or 4 goodbye, adding up to thousands of dollars in lost revenue. Remember the old boy scout motto "be prepared".

While all well run companies have a decent stock of emergency spares, NAR can complement your stock with a wide variety of spare parts to help reduce rectifier downtime. While we do not stock competitors' circuit boards, chances are we can cross-reference any other component to our in-stock item. In a pinch we can even replace competitors' circuit boards with our own if delivery becomes an issue.

If we don't have it, we can source it. If it's a transformer you need we can repair it or replace with new in just a matter of days.

Part1

Dry Type Transformers

Transformers are designed and wound in-house. Turn around time for a custom wound transformer can be as little as 2-3 days. Can be tailored to suit any brand of rectifier and are very competitively priced. All copper windings with class H insulation and M4 coresteel.
Part2 Ripple Filter Kits

NAR can design and build an external ripple filter kit for any brand of rectifier. All aerospace metal finishing processes now require less than 5% ripple filter at normal plating voltages. We can help you achieve this without great expense.
Part3 Firing Circuit NAR #HAE239-4

Our most commonly used analog SCR firing package. More than 3,000 in use today. It can be used for primary or secondary SCR control. Extremely versatile "all in one" package includes feedback onboard with inherent current limiting.

Part3 Diode Failure Detector #HAE271-C

Used to detect shorted diodes or failed SCR's. It trips the rectifier in the event of shorted diode or SCR. Can be retrofitted to any brand of rectifier..
Part3 Over-current circuit HAE#240-A

Generic over-current circuit for tripping the rectifier in case of sudden output short circuit. Input is 120Vac with one NC and one NO contact. Can be used on any rectifier that employs a 50mV shunt.
Part3 Paralleling Circuits NAR #HAE-xxxx (Master) and #HAE-xxxx (Slave)

Used to parallel rectifiers regardless of output value. Allows for balanced current sharing between 2-4 rectifiers and n+1 redundancy on large plating baths. Greatly reduces bath downtime due to rectifier failure.
Part3 Dualpak SCR's

We stock SCR dualpaks in all amp ranges and price includes hardware and trigger leads. Suitable for any make of rectifier that uses SCR control.
Part3 Puck SCRs

To complement our dualpaks we also stock a wide range of puck style SCRs. These can be easily cross referenced when emergency spares are required.
Also available are SCR clamps.
Part3 Diodes

Probably the most common failure on any rectifier is the diode. At NAR we stock both puck and stud type diodes. Generally air-cooled rectifiers use a very generic stud diode. Water-cooled rectifiers tend to use puck style diodes.
Part3 Fuses

We carry a range of fuses and fuse-holders. These include general control fuses, semiconductor fuses and trip indicator fuse assemblies.
Part3 Fan-blades and Fan-motors

1/3HP 3PH fan-motors for voltages 208/240/480 and 600V. Standard size fan-blade is 20" diameter, 24 or 32degree pitch with 5/8 bore.
Part3 Timers and Relays

Whether solid state or Electro-mechanical, we carry a broad variety of timers and relays. These include delay timers, programmable process timers, cube relays or slimlime.
Coil voltages from 6Vdc, 12Vdc, 24Vdc, 120Vac.
